Action Plan

Now that you’ve assessed your program, determined your priorities, and know what you want the policy to be, it isn’t unusual for programs to stall out here. An action plan can help keep you moving forward.

  1. What action or change will occur as a result of this policy?
  2. How will we evaluate the effectiveness of the policy? How will we measure the change?
  3. What resources are needed? Internal? External?
  4. Who will write the first draft of the policy? By when?
  5. Who should review the policy? By when? (people who will need to change their behaviors and who may have strong opinions)
  6. Who has to review the policy? By when? (based on your agency's organizational structure)
